Who are you, really?

For this Sunday Self Reflection, I invite you to start a practice that I've been doing for the last several years. It seemed like a good way to wrap up our Micro Acts of Connection and Healing series.

Give yourself the space and time to really ask yourself this question. As in, plant the seed, let it germinate, sprout and then grow into You.
The question:
"Who are you, underneath it all?"
Not in a self critical or self depreciation kind of way. Rather a Self Actualized way. One that is objective ANDÂ compassionate. Honest ANDÂ kind. Raw ANDÂ beautiful.
Who are you? The real you.
What do you offer the world?
I'm not talking about what you do for others.
I'm talking about the traits that make you beautifully and magically YOU. Not sure what I'm talking about?
What are those soul traits that you over look, under value, and dismiss? Heck, you probably don't even realize they're there because they're so natural to you. The things that others admire about you, that you probably don't know about. The gift of you that you bring to the world.
Who are you?
Breathe. Practice kind-candor.
Â
It's a pretty world changing thing to know. For you and the world around you. Our realms of influence are larger than we realize.
You don't have to know right now. I said plant the seed and let it do it's seed thing. After all, all things grow at their own pace.
Please take the time to do this. Even if it's only the 5 seconds it takes to take a deep, calming breath and ask yourself:
Who are you, underneath it all?
P.S. Super grateful for my sister making sure I stepped outside Saturday morning to get this view/picture. The first Saturday morning, not the second one.
P.P.S. New Zealand's time zone is 18 hours in the future. I woke up at our AirBnB Saturday morning and then also woke up Saturday morning on the flight to SFO. Â The crazy time travel was worth it.
